The Jonsi album is probably one of my favorites this year. I haven’t heard a couple of these, but I will check them out. Your insights are usually great. Thanks.

I would’ve put Kanye on the list for sure, and maybe The Nationals. Some of yours are good though.

I cannot argue with these at all.
But which one is number 1?

I’d say that Tokyo Police Club’s “Champ” was one of my favorites this year. And “The Suburbs”. I can’t decide if I like the Mumford and Sons or Jonsi record more.
I will say, though, that I might disagree on Gungor. It’s definitely a great record, but it doesn’t all work together. It’s certainly, though, the best collection of songs by a Christian artist this year.

I with most of you guys.
Gungor’s Beautiful Things just met me where it needed to. Most certainly the best of in a “Christian genre” this year, Whit.
Kyle, I would say it’s Mumford and Sons at #1.
I’m not sure about the Kanye album Tyler. It’s good, but hasn’t grown on me much.
Thanks gents.

I agree for the most part.
I think Mumford and Sons is tops but The National is pretty sweet also. I just can’t believe Ke$ha got snubbed on this list!! What??

not a bad list. i need to go back and listen to Mumford & Sons. I have the record because everyone hyped it up, and i’ve listened to it twice and can’t get into it. my top five for this year was….
1. Arcade Fire – “The Suburbs”
2. The National – “High Violet”
3. John Legend & The Roots – “Wake Up!”
4. Jakob Dylan – “Women and Country”
5. John Mark McMillan – “The Medicine”
it was a toss up for me between the Jonsi and the John Legend/Roots album. i know some people will probably not admit to knowing me for choosing the latter over the former, but i’m a sucker for 60s & 70s influenced soul/R&B music :)

Ron. How dare you mention KeSha here? :)
Ian, great list man. I’m kinda’ like that w/ the John Mark album. It’s a little too North Carolina for me… but some good songs on there. I do dig The National and Legend. Love me some Roots!
thanks gents.
