The family & I had one of our first vacations in a while a couple of weeks ago. It was a much needed break from the “groove”.
I believe that it should be mandatory for everyone to have a break from the business, “groove”, normal schedule, and yes, even ministry. It assists in allowing us to clear our minds, spend time w/ family, and keep (or gain) perspective.
With perspective comes gratitude, refreshment, peace, and focus. Focus on the things we have to do when we return to “reality”. Now, I’m ready to hit this fall’s schedule straight in the face. Bring it.
“There’s an easygoing nature that comes with a perspective of things that aren’t as important as we make them sometimes.” -Moreau. With this in mind, we actually move forward w/ new gained perspective in order to be the parents, husbands, co-workers, friends, and leaders that we’ve been called to be.

Chad, I’m glad to hear you got to have a rest. You do a great job. We miss your leadership. I hope to see you very soon though. Do you have a new recording yet?
Great photos by the way. Thanks for sharing.
