“Let your writing reflect only the wisdom of pain or of delight which life
has most deeply revealed to you. Nothing else is worth your time or the time
of any reader. Poetry’s first requirement is sincerity and the single aim
should be to write as though there were no audience other than the writer’s
own heart”
If you are in any form of leadership these are 5 great questions to ask and think on.
1. Do other people’s failures annoy or challenge you?
2. Do you “use” people, or cultivate people?
3. Do you direct people, or develop people?
4. Do you criticize, or encourage?
5. Do you shun or seek out the person with a special need or problem?
Now that we have a new President elect in Barack Obama, it is time to all come together and UNITE. No matter where we stand or who we voted for, we must look at the future in the light that God knows all. Let’s celebrate the first african american president of these blessed United States. And if you are a follower of Jesus, let’s begin supporting / praying for our new leaders just as we have prayed for Bush & Cheney.
After watching some of the Facebook status updates last night, I began to get a little sick of the negative… “oh God come quickly”, “hello communism”, “watching the US go to hell” blurbs. Seriously? However, there were a couple positive comments out there from guys like Rhett. Late last night, I came across this in the Message-“But you, Israel: put your trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler! Clan of Aaron, trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler! You who fear God, trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler!” – Psalm 115:9
Obviously we are entitled to our own opinion, BUT now it’s time to UNITE. Come together and support each other, and Joe Biden & Barack Obama. Let’s pray that they can unite this great nation. AND let’s trust that God is God.
(BTW- about a month ago, you all voted that Obama would be the next US Pres. 52% to 48% HERE.) ;)
