Some things that we are noticing w/ Elijah...

-He likes football (even-though he isn't allowed to watch tv).

-He enjoys the ladies (he's got game at 3 mo.)

-He loves to make noise when he first wakes up (by singing or talking. we can't tell yet).

-He has a tooty booty.

Now that we have a new President elect in Barack Obama, it is time to all come together and UNITE. No matter where we stand or who we voted for, we must look at the future in the light that God knows all. Let’s celebrate the first african american president of these blessed United States. And if you are a follower of Jesus, let’s begin supporting / praying for our new leaders just as we have prayed for Bush & Cheney.

After watching some of the Facebook status updates last night, I began to get a little sick of the negative… “oh God come quickly”, “hello communism”, “watching the US go to hell” blurbs. Seriously? However, there were a couple positive comments out there from guys like Rhett. Late last night, I came across this in the Message-“But you, Israel: put your trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler! Clan of Aaron, trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler! You who fear God, trust in God! —trust your Helper! trust your Ruler!” - Psalm 115:9

Obviously we are entitled to our own opinion, BUT now it’s time to UNITE. Come together and support each other, and Joe Biden & Barack Obama. Let’s pray that they can unite this great nation. AND let’s trust that God is God.

(BTW- about a month ago, you all voted that Obama would be the next US Pres. 52% to 48% HERE.)

@MichaelHyatt (https://twitter.com/michaelhyatt) - CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishing. Great leadership and business insight.

@pwilson (https://twitter.com/pwilson) - Pastor of CrossPoint Community Church. Pete is an inspiring teacher, leader, and new friend.

@jasonbradford (https://twitter.com/jasonbradford) - Jason is a talented friend, interactive marketing, web stud that shares lots of insight into music, marketing, and other tasty goodness.

@JeffHenderson (https://twitter.com/jeffhenderson) - Jeff is the campus Pastor for Buckhead Church in Atlanta. He shares his heart on leadership, people, father, and life. Great insight for other pastors and leaders.

@donmilleris (http://twitter.com/donmilleris) - author, teacher, fun guy. Shares some interesting stories and thoughts on life.

This is also a great staff / team tool if used wisely. Many churches, businesses, and even large companies are using twitter as another channel of information, communication, and marketing. (At last count, I believe there are a dozen of TPC staffers on Twitter. Other churches I know have 2 dozen or so…).

FOR THOSE THAT DON’T TWITTER. I attempt to answer this question at least once a week… “What is Twitter? Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”

Most of you hear me talk about my little town enough… but another thing I dig about Franklin, TN is this day we call PumpkinFest. It’s the last Saturday of Oct. every year. Main Street is closed for the entire day into the evening. It was a perfect fall day.

TPC has the privilege of hosting the entire children’s street. This amazing lady named Dana Carter organizes this day, and a TON of helpers go into the set up, running, and tear down of that street.
